Job summary

W.B. Mason in Boston is seeking a Receiving Manager to lead a team in our high-volume distribution hub. You’ll shape daily operations, coach associates, and ensure materials move smoothly from receiving through storage to production.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent.
• 5+ years leadership and receiving experience in a high-volume hub.
• Strong communication with vendors, logistics teams, coworkers, and management.
• Regular use of email/phone; good hearing/vision.
• Ability to stand/move 50% of time; sit for computer work.
• Able to lift up to 100 lbs and push/pull up to 150 lbs.
• Strong math, organizational, computer, and system skills.
• Experience with shipping/receiving/inventory software preferred.
• Self-starter with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of associates and guide operations in a high-volume hub.
• Maintain attendance and performance records.
• Schedule staffing based on needs and set daily goals.
• Hire, train, and onboard new associates.
• Coach, evaluate, and develop staff.
• Manage material flow from receiving to storage to production.
• Ensure inbound freight unloads on time.
• Optimize storage space and uphold quality standards.
• Lead HR functions including staffing and performance reviews.
• Guide leadership to maintain efficient product flow.
