Job summary

Fleet Farm in Cambridge, MN is seeking a Receiving Lead to oversee all inbound freight and receiving operations, ensuring inventories are ready for stocking by the Logistics Team.

This role acts as the main contact for inbound and outbound freight, mentors the receiving staff, and coordinates daily activities while supporting Return to Vendor processing and inventory accuracy efforts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays is required.
• Ability to be certified to operate a forklift and other material handling devices.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• 2 years of retail, logistics, or warehouse supervisory experience preferred.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and build teammate relationships in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to direct and motivate a diverse population that includes full-time and part-time Team Members.
• Demonstrated ability to act decisively, implement solutions, multi-task, and respond flexibly in a quickly changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive inbound freight accurately to ensure stocking readiness.
• Act as the main contact for inbound and outbound freight.
• Maintain organizational integrity of the receiving area.
• Train and coach the receiving team; plan daily activities.
• Assist in Return to Vendor processing.
• Provide input to Logistics Manager on team performance.
• Assist Logistics/Yard Teams with business needs.
• Collaborate with Inventory Control to investigate receipt-related discrepancies.
• Promote Fleet Farm loyalty programs and other initiatives.
