Job summary

Rural King Farm and Home Store is seeking a Receiving Lead to oversee the accurate receipt of freight and manage the unloading process from delivery trucks. The role requires coordinating the receiving team, inspecting goods for damages, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring safe, efficient flow from truck to shelf.

Candidate will use forklifts and pallet jacks, participate in cross-training, and support other departments to optimize supply chain activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the receiving team to ensure timely unloading and processing of inbound freight.
• Inspect incoming merchandise for damages and labeling accuracy and coordinate repairs or substitutions.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and update the inventory system regularly.
• Analyze negative inventory daily and propose corrective actions.
• Coordinate with purchasing and logistics to ensure smooth receiving operations.
• Maintain clean, organized receiving area and safe work environment.
• Assist with store-to-store and UPS transfers; wrap pallets and load trucks.
• Fill out daily forklift checklists and manage receiving paperwork.
