Job summary

Rural King is seeking a Receiving Lead to oversee the efficient receipt of freight, coordinate unloading from delivery trucks, and maintain accurate receiving documentation. You will lead a receiving team, ensure safety protocols, and keep the shipping path organized.

You will collaborate with purchasing and logistics, inspect incoming merchandise for damages, maintain inventory records, and help prevent disruptions to the supply chain through proactive problem solving and cross-training

Ability to adopt safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized receiving area.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate the receiving team to ensure timely unloading, sorting, and processing of freight per guidelines and safety protocols.
Inspect incoming merchandise for damages, discrepancies, and labeling; coordinate with partners to resolve issues.
Maintain accurate inventory records and update the inventory system regularly.
Perform daily analysis of negative inventory and propose corrective actions.
Collaborate with purchasing and logistics to ensure smooth merchandise flow and resolve receiving issues.
Keep the receiving area clean and organized to promote safety and efficiency.
Identify and address potential receiving challenges to prevent supply chain disruptions.
Facilitate store-to-store transfers and UPS transfers efficiently.
Coordinate backhaul requests and ensure pallets are properly wrapped and loaded.
File receiving paperwork and complete the Daily Forklift Checklist; operate equipment as needed.
