What You’ll Do

The Receiving Lead oversees the efficient receipt of freight, coordinating unloading, ensuring safety, and maintaining documentation. Responsibilities include:

• Leading the receiving team for timely unloading and processing
• Inspecting merchandise for damages and discrepancies
• Maintaining accurate inventory records
• Analyzing negative inventory and proposing solutions
• Coordinating with purchasing and logistics
• Keeping the receiving area organized and safe
• Addressing receiving challenges proactively
• Handling store-to-store and UPS transfers
• Managing backhaul requests and pallet wrapping
• Filing paperwork and completing checklists
• Operating forklifts and other equipment
• Using office equipment as needed
• Participating in cross-training and learning initiatives
• Providing excellent support and embodying Rural King’s values
• Performing other duties as assigned

• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods
• Ability to lift, push, or pull at least 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds intermittently
