Job summary

SPX Technologies in Franklin, TN is seeking a Receiving Lead to oversee the daily operations of the Receiving Department and drive accuracy in shipments and inventory.

You will lead a team, coordinate receipt, storage, and dispatch, maintain cycle counts, and collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issues while enforcing safety and compliance. The role requires strong attention to detail and ERP proficiency (SAP preferred), with the ability to train others with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in receiving, or warehouse role.
• Previous leadership experience.
• Fork lift experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Receiving team, providing guidance and support.
• Coordinate and monitor the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of all shipments and receipts.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and audits.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve any shipping or receiving issues.
• Implement and enforce safety procedures and protocols.
• Train and develop team members to enhance their skills and performance.
• Prepare and maintain shipping and receiving reports and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Manage international shipments as needed

Responsibilities

The Receiving Lead is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of the Receiving Department. This role ensures the accurate and timely processing of incoming shipments, maintains inventory accuracy, and leads a team to achieve departmental goals.

Duties

• Lead the Receiving team, providing guidance and support.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Moderate computer skills, including proficiency in using ERP systems (preferably SAP).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to train and lead others will little to no supervision

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in receiving, or warehouse role
• Previous leadership experience
• Fork truck experience

Work Environment

Work is performed in a climate-controlled production assembly environment working under normal production conditions.

• Lifting to 50 pounds with assistance.
• Sitting, standing, walking, bending, grasping, pushing, pulling, crawling, climbing, twisting, reaching, and working at heights.
• Perform repetitive motions.
