Job summary

SPX Technologies is seeking a Receiving Lead to oversee daily operations of the Receiving Department in a climate-controlled production environment. You will guide a team, ensure accurate intake, and maintain inventory accuracy while coordinating with other departments to resolve issues.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, prior receiving/warehouse experience, and leadership ability. Responsibilities include safety, reporting, and international shipments as needed.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities: The Receiving Lead is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of the Receiving Department. This role ensures the accurate and timely processing of incoming shipments, maintains inventory accuracy, and leads a team to achieve departmental goals.

Duties:

  • Lead the Receiving team, providing guidance and support.
  • Coordinate and monitor the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of all shipments and receipts.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and audits.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve any shipping or receiving issues.
  • Implement and enforce safety procedures and protocols.
  • Train and develop team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Prepare and maintain shipping and receiving reports and documentation.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Moderate computer skills, including proficiency in using ERP systems (preferably SAP).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to train and lead others will little to no supervision

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in receiving, or warehouse role
  • Previous leadership experience

Work is performed in a climate-controlled production assembly environment working under normal production conditions.

  • Lifting to 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Sitting, standing, walking, bending, grasping, pushing, pulling, crawling, climbing, twisting, reaching, and working at heights.
  • Perform repetitive motions.
