Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking an attentive Receiving Clerk to perform receiving, accounting, and distribution tasks for store deliveries. You will ensure product integrity, verify purchase orders, and maintain compliance with food safety standards while delivering courteous service.

This role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work in a fast-paced environment, and adapt to a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 12+ months retail experience.
• 12+ months in a distribution or receiving environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Able to work in a wet and cold environment.
• Follows store receiving procedures and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Verify product against Purchase Orders and supplier paperwork.
• Ensure product integrity and proper temperatures as needed.
• Process and file invoices with appropriate teams.
• Close purchase orders in the store purchasing system.
• Distribute processed paperwork to team and regional offices.
• Assist accounts payable and vendor communications as required.
• Support product teams with accounting processes during inventory and period close.
• Maintain balers, compactors and environmental areas in proper working order.
