Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a team-oriented Receiving Clerk to manage product deliveries, maintain the receiving area and backstock, and ensure proper storage of items. The role requires standing and walking for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and maintaining safety and sanitation procedures.

Flexibility for nights and weekends is expected, with strong communication and teamwork to support store operations.

Qualifications

• Must stand and walk for extended periods (up to 4 hours)
• Must bend and stoop to grasp objects
• Must follow proper lifting techniques and lift up to 50 lb
• Ability to push/pull carts up to 100 lb unassisted
• Must perform repetitive hand use and reach above/below shoulders
• Strong verbal and written communication, with good organizational skills
• Basic computer skills and ability to work with others in a flexible schedule

Responsibilities

• Process all product deliveries and verify against invoices
• Maintain receiving area, backstock, and cooler
• Ensure items are stocked and properly stored with correct labeling
• Record transfers, waste, and discrepancies accurately
• Follow safety, sanitation, and company policies at all times
• Operate equipment safely and lift techniques as trained
• Communicate with Team Leader and store leadership on issues
• Attend department and store meetings as scheduled
