Job summary

Arnold Lumber Company is seeking an experienced Receiver to manage the intake of materials at our West Kingston, RI location. The role requires accurate inventory tracking, quality inspections, and coordination with suppliers to handle returns or replacements.

You will work closely with sales and warehouse teams to ensure timely processing and safe operations. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced lumberyard

Qualifications

• Must have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and pace adaptability.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in receiving/recording materials.
• Basic computer skills, including inventory software familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments of lumber and materials.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and reconcile discrepancies.
• Coordinate with suppliers for returns or replacements of defective items.
• Prepare packing slips, invoices, and QA reports for received materials.
• Keep receiving area clean and organized; store materials properly.
• Collaborate with sales, warehouse, and delivery teams for timely processing.
• Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
