Arnold Lumber Company is seeking a dedicated Counter Sales team member at our Westerly, RI location. You will join a collaborative sales team, handle customer interactions, process orders, and provide product information and solutions to customers.

The role emphasizes assisting walk-in customers, performing basic stock and cash-handling duties, and contributing to a positive store environment while growing product knowledge across departments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ years of customer service or sales experience preferred.
• Entry-level knowledge of products in the department for promotion and sale.

Responsibilities

• Staff the Sales Counter and greet/serve customers.
• Handle order entry, sales transactions and quotes.
• Stock inventory, perform cycle counts, and organize stock room.
• Build relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers.
• Provide excellent service and product information to customers.
