Job summary

West Marine is seeking a Receiving Clerk to accurately process incoming shipments and verify product details in our Rock Hill distribution center. You will maintain organized inventory records and support efficient warehouse operations.

You will review deliveries against orders, sign for shipments, update the Warehouse Management System, and ensure proper documentation and storage. The role emphasizes safety and quality adherence and may involve periodic counts and audits.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Willing to submit to a criminal background check.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety protocols while handling shipments and report hazards.
• Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve delivery issues and discrepancies.
• Receive and process shipment documents, review deliveries for accuracy and condition, and sign for deliveries.
• Update inventory records in the Warehouse Management System and store items in designated locations.
• Inspect goods for damages, report issues, and assist with returns.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
