Job summary

Rural King is seeking a Receiving Associate to support accurate receiving, inventory control, freight processing, and merchandise movement throughout the store. This role receives shipments, processes purchase orders, verifies inventory, sorts freight, and replenishes merchandise on the sales floor.

Responsibilities include unloading and organizing freight, processing store-to-store transfers, tagging, and ensuring secure, accurate records.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of receiving, warehouse, inventory, freight, or related experience.
• Comfortable using computers, scan guns, and inventory systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work.
• Ability to follow procedures, identify discrepancies, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive shipments and process purchase orders according to SOPs.
• Use scan guns and computer systems to document receipts and inventory.
• Identify discrepancies and maintain accurate receiving records.
• Verify pricing, labels, and security tags as required.
• Unload, sort, organize, and distribute freight throughout the store.
• Replenish merchandise and assist with floor inventory during peak times.
• Process store-to-store transfers, shipping, and UPS shipments.
• Follow tagging, labeling, rack organization, and stock level procedures.
• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, ladders, scan guns, and other equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
• Participate in cross-training and support other departments as needed.
