Job summary

Fender Musical Instruments Corporation in Corona, CA is seeking a Quality Assurance Receiving Inspector to inspect incoming components, raw materials, and supplier parts using GD&T, surface plate layouts, and precision gauges.

You will document results, support NCR/MRB processes, and ensure calibration of test equipment; a high school diploma and 3–5 years in mechanical inspection are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years mechanical/dimensional inspection experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
• Proficiency with surface plate setups and layout inspection techniques.
• Hands-on experience with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gages, indicators, thread/pin gages, optical comparator).
• Experience with ERP/quality systems for receiving and inspection transactions (e.g., SAP).

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming inspection of parts and raw materials against drawings and specs.
• Interpret GD&T callouts, datums, and tolerances from blueprints and drawings.
• Set up surface plate layouts and inspections with precision tools.
• Conduct dimensional and visual inspection of plated and finished parts.
• Document inspection results and complete inspection reports and receiving records.
• Identify, tag, and document nonconforming material; support NCR/MRB activities.
