Fender Musical Instruments Corporation in Corona, CA is seeking a Quality Assurance Receiving Inspector to perform dimensional, visual, and functional inspection of incoming components and materials. You will apply GD&T from blueprints, conduct surface plate layouts, and use precision tools to ensure conformance before entering production.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of mechanical/dimensional inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
• Proficiency with surface plate set-ups and layout inspection techniques.
• Hands-on experience with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gages, indicators, etc.).
• Knowledge of sampling procedures and AQL-based acceptance sampling.
• Strong math and data recording skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.

Responsabilités

• Perform incoming inspection of purchased parts and raw materials against drawings and purchase order requirements.
• Interpret GD&T callouts, datums, and tolerances from blueprints.
• Set up surface plate layouts and inspections using precision tools.
• Conduct dimensional inspection with calipers, micrometers, height gages, and other gauges.
• Apply AQL-based sampling to determine lot acceptance or rejection.
• Inspect plated, coated, and finished parts including coating thickness verification.
• Document results and maintain inspection records; issue NCRs when needed.
• Verify calibration status of inspection equipment before use.
• Review C of C, material/test certs, and FAI reports with suppliers.
• Communicate issues to Quality/Purchasing/Engineering and support disposition of held material.
• Maintain 5S and safe work area; perform other duties as assigned.
