We are currently searching for an exceptional Quality Assurance Receiving Inspector to join our team in Corona, CA. The Receiving Inspector is responsible for performing dimensional, visual, and functional inspection of incoming purchased components, raw materials, and supplier-provided parts to verify conformance to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards. Working from blueprints and applying geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), the Receiving Inspector uses surface plate set‑ups and a full range of precision measuring instruments to accept, reject, or route nonconforming material, ensuring only conforming components enter production.

Essential Functions
  • Perform incoming (receiving) inspection of purchased parts, components, and raw materials against engineering drawings, purchase order requirements, and applicable specifications.
  • Interpret and apply GD&T callouts, datums, and tolerances from blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Set up and perform surface plate layouts and inspections using height gages, gage blocks, angle plates, sine bars, and related tooling.
  • Conduct dimensional inspection using standard measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, height gages, bore/depth gages, thread gages, pin/plug gages, dial indicators, radius/thread gages, and optical comparators.
  • Apply statistical sampling procedures and AQL-based acceptance sampling plans to determine lot acceptance or rejection.
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspection of plated, coated, and finished parts, including verification of finish, appearance, and coating/plating thickness where specified.
  • Document inspection results, record measured data, and complete inspection reports and receiving records accurately.
  • Identify, tag, segregate, and document nonconforming material; initiate nonconformance reports (NCRs) and support material review board (MRB) and supplier corrective action activities.
  • Verify that inspection, measuring, and test equipment is within calibration prior to use and support the calibration program.
  • Review supplier documentation such as certificates of conformance (C of C), material/test certifications, and first article inspection (FAI) reports.
  • Communicate quality issues to Quality, Purchasing, Supply Chain, and Engineering, and support disposition of held material.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and comply with all safety, quality, and housekeeping (5S) standards.

  • Solid math skills and attention to detail with the ability to accurately record and interpret measurement data.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize, and manage inspection workload to support production schedules.
  • Experience inspecting plated, coated, and finished components, including coating/plating thickness verification.
  • Experience with nonconformance/MRB processes and first article inspection.
