Job summary

Fender Musical Instruments Corporation in Corona, CA is seeking a Quality Assurance Receiving Inspector to perform incoming inspection of purchased parts and materials. Qualifications

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
• Proficient with surface plate setups and layout inspection techniques.
• Experience with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gages, indicators, thread/pin gages, optical comparator).
• Familiarity with ERP quality modules (e.g., SAP).
• Experience with nonconformance/MRB processes and first article inspection.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming inspection of purchased parts and raw materials against drawings and specifications.
• Interpret GD&T callouts, datums, and tolerances from drawings.
• Set up surface plate layouts and inspections with height gages and related tooling.
• Conduct dimensional inspection using calipers, micrometers, height gages, indicators, and gages.
• Apply sampling procedures and AQL-based acceptance to determine lot acceptance or rejection.
• Document inspection results and prepare NCRs and MRB support materials.
• Verify calibration of inspection equipment and review supplier documentation.
• Communicate quality issues to Quality, Purchasing, Supply Chain, and Engineering.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and comply with 5S standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
