Job summary

Moog Inc. in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Performance Leader for Receiving Inspection on the 1st shift. You will oversee 10–20 inspectors plus support staff, with accountability for safety, quality, delivery and cost.

The role includes capacity planning, staffing, training, and ongoing performance management to meet customer needs. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's or an equivalent Associate degree with strong supervision experience in inspection/manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 3 years of related inspection/manufacturing supervision experience, or an Associate's with 5 years in similar roles.
• Lean Leader experience considered equivalent and beneficial to the role.
• Knowledge of inspection processes and cross-functional support departments is expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily inspection team activities, ensuring safety, quality, productivity and effective communication.
• Conduct one-on-one meetings to provide performance feedback and develop team skills.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, recruiting, onboarding and retention for the team.
• Perform routine Gemba walks to monitor core processes and resolve issues promptly.
• Identify risks and coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement mitigations.
• Support Tiered management meetings and drive issue escalation when needed.
• Contribute to Lean and continuous improvement initiatives on site.
