Moog Inc. is seeking a Senior QA Manufacturing Inspector to support first shift operations. The role is onsite in East Aurora, NY, with reporting to the Supervisor, QA Inspection.

Candidates should have 5+ years of quality inspection experience in manufacturing and be able to perform AS9100-compliant inspections and first article inspections. Onsite work in Buffalo/East Aurora area with competitive compensation, benefits, and relocation assistance where applicable.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in Quality Inspection in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency in the use and understanding of automated and manual measuring and test equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret complex inspection instructions and AS9100 standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform first piece inspections and first article inspections to AS9100 standards.
• Assess process risk due to setup variations, tools, ambiguous instructions, or equipment limits.
• Aid in audits of business systems and products.
• Inspect parts using varied inspection techniques and layouts.
• Assist engineering and manufacturing to meet workmanship standards.
• Train operators and inspectors in best practices and inspection techniques.
• Support root-cause investigations for nonconformities.
• Provide evaluation support for identified nonconformities.

Inspector Reporting To: Supervisor, QA Inspection Work Schedule: Onsite – Buffalo, NY Our team in Space and Defense Group is looking for a Senior QA Manufacturing Inspector to support their 1st shift operations. This position will be onsite in East Aurora, NY.

To be considered for this role, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• At least 5 years of experience in Quality Inspection in a manufacturing setting.

As a Sr. QA Manufacturing Inspector, you will:

• Plan and perform various complex first piece inspections and first article inspections to AS9100 standards to determine manufacturing process effectiveness, and operator and/or technician competency.
• Be able to assess process risk due to variations in set-up, tools used, ambiguous instructions, measuring equipment limitations, human factors, and sub-optimum manufacturing methods.
• Aid in business system audits and product audits.
• Inspect parts using inspection techniques and layouts of varying complexity.
• Aid in manufacturing and production management to ensure workmanship standards are being met.
• Assist all engineering disciplines to support process improvement and investigative inspection activities.
• Help train operators and inspectors as to the best practices, procedures, and inspection techniques.
• Assist in problem solving activities to provide evaluation support for identified nonconformities.
• Proficiency in the use and understanding of automated and manual measuring and test equipment.

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $34.56–$46.07 Hourly Salary Range Disclaimer The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location.
