Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Forklift Operator, Receiving (2nd shift) to support the Sturgis, Michigan Nutrition Supply Chain. You will load, unload, and move materials, maintain FIFO inventory, and ensure accurate scanning with MITS. The role requires reading production schedules, strict safety adherence, and flexibility to OT as needed.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience or ability to quickly learn the skill.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Good communication skills and safety consciousness.
• Knowledge of current good manufacturing practices (cGMP).

Responsibilities

• Supply materials to production areas and related activities.
• Receive and store incoming materials.
• Perform GMP cleaning and sanitation tasks.
• Supply materials in a timely manner to the customer.
• Assist unloading of materials.
• Use MITS system to locate and deliver items (FEFO).
• Scan materials accurately as moved to locations.
• Read and utilize production schedule to anticipate needs.
• Drive forklift safely with various load types and storage methods.
• Adhere to all storage requirements including allergens and plastics.
