Job summary

Atkins & Pearce, Inc. is seeking a Receiving Clerk in Covington, KY. This role supports the Receiving and Inventory teams by organizing incoming materials, applying FIFO, labeling, storing, and distributing items efficiently.

The ideal candidate will keep a clean workspace, maintain accurate records, and coordinate with other departments to ensure timely material flow. The position offers a training period with a 7am–3:30pm schedule, Monday–Friday, and a salary range of $21.30–$22.55 per hour

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous receiving or inventory experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required.
• Ability to lift and move heavy materials as needed.
• Familiarity with inventory software and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, organized receiving area and proper storage of materials.
• Label and store materials in designated locations; ensure accurate labeling.
• Perform FIFO inventory management to minimize waste and outdated stock.
• Review and update storage locations to maximize space efficiency.
• Conduct regular inventory audits and train staff on FIFO procedures.
• Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.
• Maintain accurate records of all inbound and outbound materials.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely material distribution.
