Job summary

Atkins & Pearce is seeking a Receiving Clerk in Covington, KY for a 1st shift (7am-3:30pm), Monday–Friday. The role focuses on receiving, organizing, and inventory control using FIFO to optimize stock and reduce waste.

You will label, store, and track materials, and coordinate with other departments for timely distribution. Qualifications include a high school diploma and prior experience in receiving or inventory management, with strong organization and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a receiving or inventory management role preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift and move heavy materials as required.
• Familiarity with inventory management software and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, organized receiving area.
• Label and store materials in designated locations.
• Conduct regular audits of inventory.
• Implement FIFO for inventory items.
• Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.
• Coordinate with other departments for distribution of materials.
• Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing materials.
