Job summary

Golden Nugget Lake Tahoe is seeking a Warehouse Receiving Clerk to accurately verify goods, supplies, and assets delivered to and from the receiving dock, while delivering high-quality guest service in line with the company’s KEEP values.

The role requires lifting up to 100 pounds, standing and walking for extended periods, and clear English communication. Training is provided, with opportunities for advancement within a busy hotel environment.

Responsibilities

• Resolve shipping/receiving issues by coordinating with Purchasing or supervisory staff.
• Perform all receiving, shipping, and delivery duties to appropriate departments.

Overview

The Warehouse Receiving Clerk is responsible for accurate verification of goods, supplies, and assets delivered to and shipped from Golden Nugget Lake Tahoe receiving dock, in accordance with company policies and procedures. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company’s brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. – Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity).

Responsibilities

• Verify appropriate receipt of goods, supplies, and assets delivered; verifies quantities ordered and specification of products by using computer system documentation.
• Maintain departmental shipping/receiving logs to ensure accurate tracking.
• Resolve shipping/receiving problems by communicating with Purchasing and/or supervisory personnel.
• Responsible for performing all receiving dock operational functions including receiving, shipping, and delivery of goods to appropriate departments.

• Physically function, as incumbent is required to perform a number of different duties including, but not limited to; lifting, pushing, carrying, and pulling loads of up to 100 pounds.
• Walk, squat, stand, and twist so as to be able to lift, load and unload items.
• Reach, climb, carry, bend, and balance are necessary for the loading and unloading of items.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers and clientele, in both verbal and written form.
• Minimum age requirement is 21.

Education And/or Experience

Computer entry experience helpful but not required.

Two months on the job training and/or through related experience.

Mathematical Skills

Basic math skills.

Must be able to speak and understand English.

Physical Demands

• Ability to move throughout the hotel (standing, walking, kneeling, and bending) for extended periods of time.
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
• Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally and perceive sound by ear.
• Ability to regularly move objects (lift, push, pull, balance, carry) up to 50 pounds.
• Constantly walking up to distances of 500 ft. during shift.
• Frequently stooping, reaching.

Work Environment

• Work performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment. There are occasional hot and cold temperature changes.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to a smoke-filled environment.
• Work with others in close spaces.
• Moderate to high noise levels.
• Walk/stand on tile/mats/carpet/cement.
