Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Able to lift and carry up to 100 lbs and operate basic measuring tools.
• Must be 21 years of age and eligible for local/state permits.

Responsibilities

• Receive and verify shipments including food, beverage and dry goods.
• Inspect and weigh boxes to ensure quality and condition.
• Verify orders for correctness and report substandard merchandise.
• Report out of stock items to Purchasing Manager.
• Date and inspect perishable goods; check temperatures for meats and fish.
• Maintain clean and sanitary work/storage area; follow health regulations.
• Conduct random weight sampling for weighed goods.
• Store merchandise properly and rotate according to health regulations.
• Conduct physical inventories when assigned.
• Review and verify paperwork; obtain signatures on receipts and bills of lading.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
