Job summary

Jetro Restaurant Depot in Salt Lake City is seeking a Receiving Clerk to work closely with the Receiving Manager to ensure accurate records and efficient operation of the Receiving Department. You will maintain records of shipping and receiving transactions and follow up on discrepancies.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, high-volume data entry and strong communication with managers, vendors and buyers. Prior receiving/warehouse experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year similar experience.
• Ability to present information clearly to managers, employees, vendors and buyers.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest and proportions.
• Computer literate with basic data entry and record-keeping.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and monitors deliveries.
• Communicates efficiently over phone, in person and by e-mail to coordinate returns, rejections and credits.
• Inputs a high volume of information into the computer for incoming/outgoing merchandise.
• Checks and records merchandise quantity against purchase orders and specs.
• Records and reports shortages and discrepancies.
• Maintains friendly, efficient and professional customer service.
