Job summary

Jetro Restaurant Depot is seeking a Receiving Clerk (CRT Clerk) to assist the Receiving Department under the supervision of the Inventory Controller. The role focuses on maintaining accurate records of shipping and receiving transactions and keeping the supervisor informed of activity and discrepancies.

Key tasks include scheduling deliveries, coordinating returns and credits, and ensuring efficient communication with managers, vendors and buyers.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year similar experience.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, employees, vendors and buyers.
Ability to calculate figures, and amounts such as discounts, interest, and proportions.
Computer literate; comfortable using business software and databases.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Commitment to company values and strong customer orientation.

Responsibilities

Schedules and monitors deliveries.
Communicates via phone, in person and email to coordinate returns, rejections and credits.
Inputs a high volume of information into the computer for incoming/outgoing merchandise.
Checks quantities against purchase orders and specs.
Records shortages and discrepancies and reports them.
Delivers friendly, efficient, professional customer service.
