Job summary

Valence Surface Technologies in Wichita, KS, is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk to manage the flow of materials and shipments. The role involves receiving, inspecting, and shipping goods, maintaining ERP records, and coordinating with production and procurement teams.

Shifts: Monday - Friday, 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM. The position requires attention to detail, safety awareness, and ability to operate material handling equipment. Prior aerospace or manufacturing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in shipping and receiving is preferred.
• ERP systems, inventory management software, and Microsoft Office proficiency required.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate material handling equipment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.
• Prepare and package outgoing shipments with proper labeling and documentation.
• Maintain records of shipments and inventory transactions in the ERP system.
• Coordinate with production, quality control, and procurement to ensure timely delivery.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
• Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with inventory management.
• Resolve discrepancies and ensure the shipping area remains safe and organized.
• Adhere to safety protocols and company policies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Responsible for managing the the flow of materials, parts, and products ensuring that all incoming and outgoing shipments are handled efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with company and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.
• Prepare and package outgoing shipments, ensuring proper labeling, documentation, and compliance with shipping regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of all shipments and inventory transactions in the company's ERP system.
• Coordinate with production, quality control, and procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with inventory management and control.
• Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to shipping and receiving activities.
• Ensure the shipping and receiving area is organized, clean, and safe at all times.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
