Job summary

Clean Harbors Kimball, NE is hiring a Receiving Chemist for full-time, permanent work in Kimball. Wage is $29 hr., DOE with OT, paid weekly, with 4-11 hour shifts (5am-4pm or 12pm-1am) and no overnights.

Responsibilities include sampling incoming drums, performing basic analysis, calibrating lab instruments, and managing waste per QA/QC guidelines. Forklift operation will be required to move drums around the warehouse.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of college level Chemistry class or coursework.
• Completion of Associate's Degree, Vocational or Trade School.

Responsibilities

• Ensures Health and Safety is the top priority and follows safe work practices.
• Sample incoming drums and perform basic analysis of samples per procedures.
• Calibrate and use lab instruments to run basic analysis.
• Complete paperwork for waste analysis and drum sampling per QA/QC guidelines.
• Properly manage waste generated from testing procedures.
• Ensure drums are properly coded and labeled for profile.
• Operate a forklift to move drums within the warehouse.
• Other duties as assigned.
