Job summary

Clean Harbors in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Receiving Chemist to manage drum receiving, coding, sampling and data entry in our industrial warehouse. This role involves QA/QC work and using the WIN system for container tracking and billing.

You will operate forklifts, perform basic chemical analyses, and maintain documentation while following safety policies. The position offers a 2nd shift (3pm-11pm, Mon-Fri) with pay up to $34 per hour and benefits after 30 days.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in warehouse, quality control, chemical handling, laboratory, or inventory management.
• Previous forklift operating experience a plus
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and in team environment
• Proficiency in Windows based applications

Responsibilities

• Ensures Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
• Receives all incoming containers, ensures proper disposal code and/or outbound profile, knowledgeable with WIN system for receiving, routing and billing of drums
• Samples all incoming containers and performs basic chemical analysis following prescribed procedures
• Completes paperwork for consolidation process and waste tracking using WIN
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of SOPs
• Operates forklift to offload and reload drums and transport containers
• Calibrates and uses lab instrumentation to run basic analyses and completes related QA/QC paperwork
• Conveys critical verbal and written information to internal and external stakeholders
• Ensures real-time tracking of containers via WIN system with handheld scanners
• Manages supply in area of responsibility and maintains housekeeping
