Job summary

UNFI is seeking a Warehouse Associate to join our distribution team. The role focuses on verifying and receiving correct product using RF devices while maintaining an engineered work pace.

This is a full-time position offering comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities. Responsibilities include handling pallet labels, verifying item descriptions and quantities, processing receiving paperwork, coordinating order sequences, and ensuring proper merchandise exchanges with the dock team.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate a forklift and be licensed.
• Must read, write, and perform simple math.
• Must be able to lift and transport items weighing up to 90 pounds.
• Learn computerized check-in systems (OMNI, RFICS & ETC.) and operate computerized checking hardware (Telxon).
• Good judgment is required when supervision is not immediately available.

Responsibilities

• Accounts for all pallet labels for each order.
• Checks all items to ensure correct description and quantity.
• Processes receiving paperwork.
• Coordinates correct sequence of orders, checking shortages and overflows with dock supervisor.

Job Overview

Job Responsibilities And Accountabilities

• Coordinates the correct sequence or order, checking shortages and counting overflows with the dock supervisor.
• Ensures that all order selectors and forklift operators exchange merchandise sent in error.

Job Requirements

• Must be able to operate a forklift and be able to become licensed.
• Must be able to read, write and make simple math calculations.
• Must be able to lift and transport items weighing up to approximately 90 pounds constantly throughout the shift.
• Must have the ability to learn computerized check-in systems (OMNI, RFICS & ETC.) and operate computerized checking hardware (Telxon).
• Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.
