UNFI is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee shipping and receiving for a specific shift, ensuring duties align with company and DC guidelines and delivering excellent service to stores. You will supervise order selectors, receivers, and shippers while maintaining inventory accuracy and safety standards on a daily basis.

The role requires supervisory experience, strong communication, data interpretation skills, and proficiency with basic computer tools.

Qualifications

• Strong general knowledge of warehouse operations with prior lead or supervisor duties.
• Ability to read and interpret computerized reports and schedules.
• Good verbal and written communication skills for cross-team coordination.
• Basic computer skills and experience with word processing/spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and supervises Order Selectors, Receiving, Shipping and other warehouse staff.
• Maintains inventory accuracy and uses appropriate systems to track performance.
• Handles returns processing and vendor returns per policy.
• Coordinates with Inventory Control on slotting and space allocation; maintains records.
• Leads daily safety, productivity and accuracy briefings; communicates with Transportation.
• Manages inbound load appointments and sign-for duties; oversees deliveries daily.
• Ensures safety, sanitation, pest control, and policy compliance across the warehouse.

Position Purpose

Supervises Warehouse shipping and receiving activities and associates for a specific shift/area to ensure functions are performed within Company and Distribution Center guidelines. Provides excellent customer service to stores serviced through accurate handling of inbound and outbound product.

Essential Functions And Basic Duties

• Schedules and supervises of Order Selectors, Receiving, Shipping or any other Warehouse personnel.
• Controls production standards, accuracy of inventory, using proper accuracy programs and systems.
• Processes store returns and return to vendors using proper Company policies.
• Coordinates with Inventory Control associates regarding slotting, product rotation and space allocation. Maintains daily inventory and accuracy records.
• Conducts daily crew meeting to discuss safety, productivity and accuracy.
• Communicates with Transportation on the flow and receipt of backhauls.
• Supervises scheduling of inbound load appointments.
• Responsible to sign for, sort and distribute inbound, overnight carrier and mail service deliveries.
• Walks warehouse daily to ensure that safety, security, sanitation and pest control codes, laws, and policies are maintained.
• Develops and maintains good working relationship with all departments.

Qualifications

• Possess strong general knowledge of all warehousing operations, with prior work experience to include lead person or supervisory duties, preferably with the Company.
• Possess good supervisory skills and the ability to work with and through others to achieve desired results.
• Possess good communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to read and interpret computerized reports.
• Requires the analytical ability to handle administrative duties and mental alertness to ensure accurate, safe, and thorough completion of work activities. Possess the ability to concentrate and deal with frequent interruptions.
• Basic computer skills required, and personal computer experience helpful, with word processing and spreadsheet applications.
• Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.

Compensation

UNFI anticipates paying the above-referenced pay rate (or within the above-referenced pay range) for this position. Actual Pay, where applicable, will depend on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, training, and any requirements under applicable collective bargaining agreements.
