Job summary

UNFI is seeking a part-time Order Selector in Harrisburg to pull customer orders quickly and accurately within a busy warehouse setting.

You will verify locations, build stable pallets, and safely operate pallet jacks while following HACCP and SQF policies. Prior warehouse experience is preferred, and good judgment is essential when supervision is not immediately available.

Qualifications

• Previous Warehouse/Selecting experience strongly preferred.
• Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.

Responsibilities

• Receive orders, identify the pick locations and safely pick the items at the established rate.
• Build stable and well cubed pallets.
• Safely operate pallet jacks and push carts.
• Ability to learn and perform duties in accordance with HACCP and SQF policies.
• Inspect assigned jack for safety issues.
• Enter the proper information into the productivity measure.
• Identify the correct pick location and pick sequence in accordance to the order.
• Picks the correct item and quantity, checking UPCs or item descriptions.
• Place pick labels on the side of the cases.

What does it mean to be a part of the Order Selection team?

In this fast-paced role, you are the boots on the ground and responsible for accurately and efficiently pulling customer orders within the warehouse. This role requires strategic thinking and attention to detail while palletizing orders and ensuring they are placed in the correct assigned locations. You will operate motorized equipment including Electric Pallet Jacks while ensuring that you safely and accurately move product within the warehouse. Position Requirements

Physical Requirements

• Lifting objects weighing up to 100 lbs. consistently.
• Occasionally pushing, sitting, touching, reaching, climbing, pulling, and gripping.

Knowledge

• Understanding of Safety guidelines.
• Strong knowledge of applicable Bakco functions and RF systems.
