Job summary

Colony Hardware, located in Nashville, TN, is seeking Receiving Associates to ensure that incoming merchandise is consistent with orders and free from defects. Responsibilities include receiving, inspecting products, and maintaining organized inventory records.

Overview

Our Receiving Associates at Colony Hardware are our products’ first point of contact upon arrival to our warehouse. You will bring in all of our products utilizing your highly detailed and organizational skills to ensure all incoming merchandise is consistent with the order.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect all incoming merchandise to ensure deliveries match packing slips and verify all items are free of defects or damage.
• Count and record data manually or electronically on items and label the merchandise with appropriate stock and inventory control codes so they can be moved and stocked in appropriate locations.
• Perform scheduled cycle counts of product for inventory and stock shelves in an organized and specified sequence adhering to all stocking policies and procedures.
• Unload and unpack items following a set of specific instructions and/or procedures in an organized and specified sequence to maximize accuracy.

Qualifications

• 3 years of warehouse experience including receiving high volume of products.
• Experience working with warehouse or receiving management systems.
