Job summary

Colony Hardware is seeking a Driver in Columbus, Ohio, to ensure timely pickup and delivery of products. You will load your 26' flatbed truck, perform inspections, and interact with customers, ensuring they receive their orders promptly.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of prior driving experience and deliveries.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license with a sustained record of safe driving.
• A Commercial Driver's License (A or B) is a plus.
• Current and valid DOT medical card or ability to obtain one upon hire.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.

Responsibilities

• Pickup and delivery of merchandise in a safe and timely manner.
• Load truck and organize merchandise for easy location.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle.
• Check in frequently with the customer and collect payments.
• Assist in the warehouse as needed.

As a Driver with Colony Hardware, you will be the backbone of our company who make our mission to provide top quality products to commercial contractors and industrial accounts come alive. To do this, you will utilize your eagerness to do what’s expected to ensure that our customers are getting what they need, when they need it!

Schedule:

• 6:30am-5pm, Monday through Friday
• Home every night (no overnight)

A Little About Your Day:

• From day to day, you will be responsible for the pickup and delivery of merchandise in a safe, timely, and courteous manner.
• You will load your truck (26' flatbed) with packed orders, sorting and organizing the merchandise so that it can be easily located. You will secure material with straps.
• Operating with a strong attention to detail, you will perform your pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of your vehicle, equipment, paperwork and loaded product to ensure your safety.
• You will check in frequently with the customer to announce arrival, collect payments from customers, and ensure all signatures are received.
• You will assist in the warehouse as needed when not making deliveries or once all are complete for the day.

What You’ll Need for Success:

• A current and valid DOT medical card, or the ability to get one upon hire.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.Ability to operate a forklift preferred.
