Job summary

FECON, LLC is a vegetation management equipment manufacturer located in Lebanon, Ohio near Kings Island Amusement Park. We design, build, test, sell and service our equipment consisting of products such as our well-known “Bull Hog” mulchers, the Stump Ex, our high-quality FTX tractors of varying horsepower, as well as many other attachments. Job Summary:

  • Provides support in daily freight receiving, inspecting and properly storing incoming parts to ensure easy accessibility and retrieval. Prepares materials to ship out for painting. Operates forklift and overhead crane.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Performs daily forklift inspections and operates a forklift.
  • Operates overhead crane.
  • Receives, verifies, inspects and accurately stores parts for easy accessibility.
  • Confirms parts labeling and identifies parts without labeling.
  • Receives and unloads incoming materials, verifies quantities shown on packing slips to actual items received and matches to the original purchase order and FECON part number.
  • Conducts a visual inspection of parts and documents for any shipping damage; reports damaged goods to Supervisor and works to help resolve damage issues.
  • Assists at laser break out and material movements as required.
  • Prepares kits for build in the weld production area as required.
  • Handles receiving and movement of compresses gas cylinders for welding.
  • Works in conjunction with other shipping personnel to ensure all parts labels are accurate and create new labels for parts that are moved or new to the warehouse.
  • Ensures the department is orderly and organized by maintaining the 5S standards.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Operates various material moving equipment including pallets carts and electric lifts.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
  • Ability to stand the entire workday except for designated breaks periods.
  • Ability to safely lift moderate to heavy lifting throughout much of the day, with weight limits varying from 50-100 lbs. For over 50 lbs, additional help or cranes will be utilized.
  • Ability to work in varying weather and temperatures.
