Job summary

Mountaintop Beverage is seeking a Receiving and Inventory Clerk for our Morgantown facility to manage inbound deliveries, recording receipts, and maintain inventory accuracy. The role ensures timely cycle counts and material availability for production, while adhering to GMP and food safety standards.

You will verify shipments against packing slips and POs, perform regular stock audits, tag materials for traceability, and maintain ERP records.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic mathematical and calculation skills.
  • Experience in a manufacturing facility or inventory preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Verify inbound shipments, cross-reference quantities against packing slips, purchase orders and BOLs, and enter receipts into ERP systems.
  • Flag and document damaged goods, short shipments, or overages on the BOL.
  • Work with production and quality teams when materials are nonconforming and notify suppliers for credit or replacement.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts, full stock audits, and monitor stock levels across packaging materials.
  • Prepare, audit, and distribute real time receipt, current inventory, and material consumption reports.
  • Reconcile customer supplied raw material receipts and consumption against production usage.
  • Confirm inventory levels to meet production needs and timing.
  • Research root-cause inventory discrepancies between physical and system counts.
  • Audit ERP locations to ensure physical and system locations match.
  • Manage material rotation using FIFO and FEFO procedures.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records including quantities, locations, and expiration dates.
  • Organize and file incoming goods documents for accessibility.
  • Follow safety procedures and use PPE to maintain a safe environment.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure efficiency.
  • Adhere to food safety requirements and standards as needed.

Job description

As part of an aseptic, extended shelf-life beverage manufacturing facility, the Receiving and Inventory Clerk will be critical in managing inbound deliveries, timely and accurate receiving transactions, and the flow of inventory. This role will enforce inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and ensure continuous material availability for production runs, contributing to the overall efficiency and safety of the facility, while adhering to GMP and food safety standards.

In thisessential role, the Receiving and Inventory Clerk’s primary duties include verifying inventory accuracy, conducting physical and systematic cycle counts, working with supply chain to schedule inbound materials, coordinating receipts within ERP systems, properly tagging materials for traceability, processing delivery documents, and ensuring proper material storage.

Role Responsibilities
  • Verify inbound shipments, cross-reference physical delivery quantities against packing slips, purchase orders and BOLs, and enter receipts into ERP systems.
  • Flag and document damaged goods, short shipments, or overages on the BOL.
  • Work directly with production and quality teams when materials are nonconforming and notify suppliers of issues in order to return or receive credit for materials deemed unsuitable for production.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts, full stock audits, and monitoring stock levels across all packaging materials.
  • Prepare, audit, and distribute real time receipt, current inventory, and material consumption reports for customers upon request or on scheduled intervals.
  • Reconcile customer supplied raw material receipts and consumption against production usage.
  • Confirming inventory levels to ensure material is on hand or scheduled for delivery to meet production needs and timing.
  • Research and identify root-cause inventory discrepancies between physical and systematic counts.
  • Regularly audit bin and floor storage locations in the ERP to ensure physical inventory placements match system locations to maintain 100% location accuracy.
  • Manage material rotation using FIFO and FEFO procedures.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, including quantities, stock levels, locations, and expiration dates.
  • Organize and file incoming goods documents (BOLs, packing lists, etc.) for easy accessibility.
  • Follow safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Adhere to food safety requirements and standards as needed.
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Basic mathematical andcalculation skills

  • Experience in a manufacturing facility or inventory preferred.
