Position Summary
The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments and completing them daily.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Compares identifying information and counts, and weights against all incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, orders, or other records.
Schedules receiving appointments.
Examines incoming receiving paperwork for required information (e.g., code dates, mfg dates, etc.).
Prints out shipping pick lists using Excel sheets and verifies inventory in the system first for complete FEFO accuracy.
Routes paperwork to department personnel.
Double checks all inbound and outbound paperwork for accuracy before keying information into the system; includes making sure all pick list and trailer map sheets are turned in with every load.
Prints out all BOLs for outbound shipment and applies the seal number and signature with every load.
Maintains all paperwork in a neat organized manner to include all load paperwork together to be scanned into D365 when processing has been completed.
Maintains both shipping and receiving compliance logs daily for accuracy.
Must cross train in all areas of the office to keep it efficient and responsive to customer needs.
Promotes a safe work environment through training and implementation.
Suggest changes in the working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of the department or team.
Ensures that all work activities are performed with attention to the highest standards for quality, safety, and compliance with all appropriate legal and food safety requirements and a focus on continuous improvement.
Ensures that all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed.
Follows all company policies and procedures as well as GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices).
Maintains a high level of safety awareness for an accident‑free workplace.
Reports any unsafe or hazardous work conditions or safety‑related issues to Management.
