Job summary

DFAMILK is seeking an experienced dairy processor to operate the pumping of incoming raw milk from tanker trucks into storage tanks and to document inventory with a focus on product quality.

Responsibilities include CIP on tankers and silos, sampling milk for tests, weighing and recording temperature, and reporting any quality issues while adhering to GMP and safety standards on first or second shift.

Qualifications

• Prior dairy industry experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Certification and/or License may be required during employment.

GENERAL PURPOSE

Perform all duties related to the pumping of incoming raw milk or cream from the tanker trucks into the proper storage tanks. Document and record volume into inventory with a heavy emphasis on quality of product being received.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform CIP on each tanker and silo while maintaining proper documentation of each process
• Gather samples of raw milk from tanker for testing of product
• Weigh tanker on scales. Check to ensure proper temperature of milk and record weight and temperature reading
• Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately
• Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
• Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Production or general work experienced preferred
• Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment

• Able to follow directions and carry out instructions
• Able to effectively work in a team environment
• Able to legibly write entries for record keeping
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Must be able to read, write and speak English
