Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is seeking a production-focused operator to pump incoming raw milk or cream from tanker trucks into storage tanks, documenting volumes and emphasizing product quality. Responsibilities include CIP, sampling, and maintaining temperature and weight records.

The role requires teamwork, the ability to follow directions, and accurate record-keeping in a fast-paced plant environment. General safety and GMP compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Production or general work experience preferred.
• Certification and/or license may be required during course of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform CIP on each tanker and silo while maintaining proper documentation of each process
• Gather samples of raw milk from tanker for testing of product
• Weigh tanker on scales; record weight and temperature readings
• Report any food safety and quality related issues to management immediately
• Maintain safe working conditions and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
• Follow DFA GMP and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements
• Other duties may be assigned as required

Job description

General Purpose

Perform all duties related to the pumping of incoming raw milk or cream from the tanker trucks into the proper storage tanks. Document and record volume into inventory with a heavy emphasis on quality of product being received.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform CIP on each tanker and silo while maintaining proper documentation of each process


• Gather samples of raw milk from tanker for testing of product


• Weigh tanker on scales. Check to ensure proper temperature of milk and record weight and temperature reading


• Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately


• Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues


• Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

Education and Experience
