Job summary

RTX is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Receiver Exciter and Processing Architecture Department onsite in Marlborough, MA. You will design and implement signal processing algorithms for radar systems on CPUs, FPGAs, and GPUs across COTS and semi-custom hardware, collaborating with systems, hardware, and software engineers.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a STEM degree, have Linux and C++ experience, and are eligible for a DoD secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field.
• Must have at least 30 credit hours by the start of the internship.
• Experience using Linux.
• C++ software development experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform system integration activities on distributed heterogeneous signal processing systems running Linux.
• Code, test, and integrate C++ embedded and/or real-time signal processing algorithms or control functions.
• Defect resolution and code maintenance/updating of existing codebases.
• Analyze numerical accuracy, runtime latency, and other system metrics.
• Collaborate with systems, hardware, and other software engineers to understand and implement end-user requirements.
• Maintain high code quality by supporting code reviews, static analysis, continuous integration.

This is your opportunity to join the Receiver Exciter and Processing Architecture Department as a Software Engineer. The team’s primary goal is to design, architect, and implement signal processing algorithms on a variety of high-performance processing platforms – including CPUs, FPGAs and GPUs, on COTS and semi-custom hardware platforms, for next generation radar systems.

What You Will Do:

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience with developer tools (Git, CMake, GoogleTest, gdb, profilers, Jira, Jenkins, UML).
• Embedded software development experience.
• Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD)
• Experience with scripting (Python, shell, bash).

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
