Job summary

RTX is seeking a Software Engineer to design, implement, and optimize signal processing algorithms for radar systems on CPUs, FPGAs, and GPUs. You will work within the Receiver Exciter and Processing Architecture Department to deliver high-performance software across diverse platforms.

You will collaborate with hardware and systems teams, perform integration on Linux-based systems, and ensure code quality through reviews and CI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field.
• C++ software development experience.
• Experience using Linux.

Responsibilities

• Perform system integration on distributed heterogeneous signal processing systems running Linux.
• Code, test, and integrate C++ embedded and/or real-time signal processing algorithms or control functions.
• Defect resolution and code maintenance/updating of existing codebases.
• Analyze numerical accuracy, runtime latency, and other system metrics.
• Collaborate with systems, hardware, and other software engineers to understand and implement end-user requirements.
• Maintain high code quality by supporting code reviews, static analysis, continuous integration.

This is your opportunity to join the Receiver Exciter and Processing Architecture Department as a Software Engineer. The team’s primary goal is to design, architect, and implement signal processing algorithms on a variety of high-performance processing platforms – including CPUs, FPGAs and GPUs, on COTS and semi-custom hardware platforms, for next generation radar systems.

What You Will Do:

• Perform system integration activities on distributed heterogenous signal processing systems running Linux.
• Code, test, and integrate C++ embedded and/or real-time signal processing algorithms or control functions.
• Defect resolution and code maintenance/updating of existing codebases.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major.
• C++ software development experience.
• Experience using Linus *.
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience with developer tools (Git, CMake, GoogleTest, gdb, profilers, Jira, Jenkins, UML).
• Embedded software development experience.
• Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) Experience.
• With scripting (Python, shell, bash).

Relocation Eligibility

Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
