This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various team members.**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:*** **Material Receiving:** Accurately receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments of lumber and related materials, ensuring that quantities and quality meet specifications.* **Inventory Management:** Maintain accurate inventory records, including logging received materials in the inventory management system and reconciling discrepancies.* **Quality Control:** Conduct quality inspections of incoming materials to identify defects or issues and coordinate with suppliers for returns or customer replacements.* **Documentation:** Complete necessary paperwork for received materials, including packing slips, invoices, and quality assurance reports.* **Organization:** Maintain a clean and organized receiving area, ensuring that materials are stored properly to prevent damage and facilitate easy access.* **Collaboration:** Work closely with the sales, warehouse, and delivery teams to ensure timely processing and distribution of materials.* **Safety Compliance:** Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others.**OTHER JOB DUTIES:*** All other duties – Perform all other duties as assigned including carrying out responsibilities, performing duties, using skills, and working in conditions necessary to perform all assigned tasks## Qualifications**COMPETENCIES/SKILLS***:** Excellent communication and teamwork skills.* Problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in receiving and recording materials.* Basic computer skills, including familiarity with inventory management software.**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS:*** Ability to lift and move heavy materials up to 80lbs* Stand, sit, bend, kneel, and repetitive lifting for 8 hrs.* Ability to operate warehouse equipment including forklifts* Climb stairs while carrying heavy objects* Works in inclement weather conditions.**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:*** High school diploma or equivalent;* Relevant experience in a lumber yard or warehouse environment preferred.* Forklift certification is advantageous.We offer a comprehensive benefits package offering flexible options to meet your healthcare needs and a robust 401(k) and Roth retirement savings program.
