Helix Electric is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk in Goodyear, AZ to coordinate clerical tasks for the Prefab department and ensure accurate shipping documents and labeling. The role includes inventory updates, driver coordination, and on-site support to maintain warehouse efficiency.

Qualified applicants have 2+ years in supply chain or shipping, strong communication, and proficiency with ERP systems and MS Office. Forklift operation and meticulous record-keeping are preferred.

• 2+ years of experience in supply chain and/or shipping/receiving in a manufacturing industry.
• Good communication skills both written and verbal.
• Strong computer skills with ERP Systems and proficient in MS Office.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organization and administrative skills.
• Ability to operate warehouse machinery such as forklifts.

Responsibilities

• Checks in Drivers, uses ERP System to look up purchase orders and directs them to the dock door or location for unloading.
• Verifies products unloaded against a purchase order to identify discrepancies (overages, shortages, damages).
• Maintains internal record-keeping systems.
• Ensures proper storage of finished and unfinished goods within warehouse.
• Ensures proper labels and tickets have been applied before shipping.
• Prints all bills and assists in resolving discrepancies.
• Collects documentation and routes to the proper records unit.
• Answers calls from drivers and provides directions to the facility.
• Updates product inventory as received or shipped.
• May direct and oversee pallet control and cycle counts to maintain accuracy.
• Operates forklift or other equipment to load/unload/store goods.
• Packages products for return and completes necessary paperwork.

The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for coordinating the clerical tasks for the Prefab department. The daily functions are to ensure shipping documents are processed with accuracy, on time, and in full compliance with all vendor and regulatory requirements, including all product and shipping container labeling requirements.

DUTIES & SCOPE:

• Checks in Drivers, use ERP System to looks up purchase orders provided by drivers and directs them to the appropriate dock door or location for unloading of product.
• Verifies list of products unloaded and recorded by forklift driver against a purchase order to determine if all products were received or if there are discrepancies (overages, shortages, damages) in ERP System.
• Maintains internal record-keeping systems.
• Ensures proper storage of finished and unfinished goods within warehouse.
• Ensures proper labels and tickets have been applied before shipping.
• Prints all bills assists in resolving any discrepancies.
• Collects all documentation and routes to the proper record-keeping unit.
• Answers incoming calls from drivers and gives directions to the facility.
• Update product inventory as it is received and or shipped.
• May direct and oversee the pallet control and exchange program, participate in cycle counts and help maintain inventory accuracy.
• Operate forklift or other equipment to load, unload transport, and store goods.
• Packages products for return to vendors and fills out any paperwork necessary.
