Job summary

PeopleReady of Fresno, CA is seeking a Receiver to join their team in Fresno. You will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, and documenting shipments, entering data into the inventory system, and maintaining an organized receiving area.

The role includes operating forklifts, supporting production with materials, and ensuring safety standards are met. This position offers 1st or 2nd shift options with competitive pay of $16.90 per hour and opportunities to connect with top local employers

Qualifications

• Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience in receiving, shipping, warehouse, or inventory control preferred.
• Forklift experience (sit-down and/or stand-up) preferred.
• Experience using RF scanners, ERP systems, or warehouse management systems is a plus.
• Basic computer and data-entry skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand, bend, and walk throughout shift.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
• Verify packing slips, purchase orders, and shipping documents.
• Enter received materials into the inventory system.
• Label, organize, and store products in designated locations.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
• Deliver raw materials and supplies to production departments as needed.
• Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory control activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
• Communicate shortages, damaged materials, or discrepancies to supervisors.
• Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and warehouse policies.
• Assist with shipping, staging, and other warehouse duties as needed.

Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $16.90 - $16.90 / hour*

What you'll be doing as a Receiver:

• Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage
