Job summary

Halperns' Steak & Seafood is seeking a Receiver to join our Orlando, FL team, starting at $16/hour. The role supports receiving, logging, and issuing materials to stockrooms, with duties including documentation, quality checks, and freezer/cooler rotation in USDA environments.

Responsibilities include ensuring goods are accurate, undamaged, and properly stored, while adhering to safety and sanitation guidelines. Shift begins early morning; candidate must read, write, and communicate in English.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Starting at: $16/hr. Schedule: 3:00AM to 11:30AM

Position Summary: Receives, logs and issue materials to stockroom, warehouse or designated location.

• Checks goods received against bills of lading or purchase orders.
• Checks goods for damage and expiration dates.
• Identify and account for all histamine products (seafood only).
• Sorts, counts and checks received items.
• Maintains required clerical records.

• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Must be able to work independently or within a team environment.
• Employees in all warehouse positions must be able to immediately perceive auditory warning signals such as bells, alarms, and horns that are used to warn employees of the start-up, movement, or approach of equipment (including forklifts, turrets, overhead cranes, conveyors, trucks, and other equipment operated inside or outside the warehouse), mechanical abnormalities, and similar risk situations during warehouse operations.
• Ability to operate powered industrial vehicle (PIV)

• Must be able to understand the basic functions of a Radio Frequency handheld computer.
• Pallet jack, hand trucks
• Shrink wrap/stretch wrap equipment
• Box cutter
• Internet, email, and other applications
• Knowledge of WMS RF system of inventory
• Ability to operate powered industrial vehicle (PIV)

• No previous experience needed.
• Forklift certification must be obtained upon hire and maintained during employment certification or license.
• High School / Equivalent preferred.
