Halperns Steak & Seafood in Fort Lauderdale is seeking an Overnight Warehouse Loader to palletize orders and prepare them for delivery. The role requires physical stamina, the ability to work nights, and strict adherence to safety standards.

Starting pay is $18.00 per hour with a Sunday to Friday schedule (8pm until finish). Join our team to support the delivery of high‑quality meat and seafood products and maintain exceptional service standards.

Responsabilidades

• Receive load sheets and assemble pallets.
• Gather and organize products from staging areas.
• Check routes and doors prior to loading.
• Ensure correct load sequence per instructions.
• Scan products with RF handset.
• Submit load sheets for invoicing.
• Wrap or brace pallets to prevent damage.
• Operate warehouse equipment to load pallets.
• Handle products to minimize damage.
• Report damage of product or equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Starting Pay: $18.00 per hour

Schedule: Sunday to Friday, 8pm until Finish (Days off will be Saturday and one other weekday, which will be determined based on business need)

Position Summary: Palletizes orders for final delivery to customers.

Essential Functions:

• Receives load sheet from Warehouse Supervisor and assembles pallets accordingly.
• Gathers and organizes products from various staging areas and prepares them for loading.
• Check the route to ensure all products are at the correct door prior to loading.
• Ensure load is in proper sequence, following special instructions, exceptions and procedures.
• Scans all products too route with RF Scan Gun.
• Submits completed load sheet to invoicing for printing.
• Install wrapping or bracing to prevent shifting or damage in transit and label pallets.
• Operate warehouse equipment properly to load pallets onto designated trucks.
• Handle products to minimize damage.
• Report damage of product or equipment
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

• High School / Equivalent.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, physically demanding environment requiring constant walking, ascending/descending stairs or pallet jack platform, bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying.
• Must be able to work in temperatures ranging from -30 F to 100F.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Must be able to work independently or within a team environment.
• Must adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
• Employees in all warehouse positions must be able to immediately perceive auditory warning signals such as bells, alarms, and horns that are used to warn employees of the startup, movement, or approach of equipment (including forklifts, conveyors, trucks, and other equipment operated inside or outside the warehouse), mechanical abnormalities, and similar risk situations during warehouse operations.
