IGH L Inc. is seeking a Rec Counselor/Direct Support Professional (DSP) at the Middle Island IRA in Middle Island, NY.

The DSP will model respectful interaction, assist with Activities of Daily Living, and plan recreational activities aligned with resident needs and abilities. The role requires hands-on ADL support, safety supervision, and collaboration with the Residence Manager to implement individualized plans and certifications.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Valid NYS driver’s license.
• SCIP and Adult CPR certifications required or within probation period.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.

• Plans and conducts a varied program of games, arts, and community activities.
• Maintains monthly recreation calendar and documents activities.
• Supervises residents during recreation and transportation activities.
• Exercises safety and provides guidance for daily living routines.
