Job summary

Charter Construction in Portland, Oregon seeks an experienced Rebuild Project Manager to lead restoration projects from planning to closeout. You will coordinate homeowners, adjusters, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to uphold safety, budget, and quality toward Charter’s high standards.

The role requires strong leadership, organization, and communication, with a track record of managing multiple active projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of construction project management experience.
• 1 to 2 years of hands-on Xactimate estimating experience.
• Experience in insurance restoration, remodeling, or residential construction preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of construction projects from planning and scheduling through completion and closeout.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, establish timelines, and determine resource requirements, including labor, equipment, and materials.
• Prepare, monitor, and manage project budgets to ensure profitability and cost control.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Coordinate and oversee subcontractor performance to ensure work is completed according to project specifications and budget requirements.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, evaluate workmanship, and ensure quality standards are met.
• Enforce all safety protocols and maintain compliance with local building codes, ordinances, and regulations.
• Attend weekly project meetings, providing updates on project status, schedules, budgets, and potential challenges.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, contracts, change orders, and job records.
• Manage and oversee up to 20 active projects simultaneously.
• Communicate effectively with clients, team members, subcontractors, and company leadership.
• Work independently and proactively resolve project-related issues as they arise.

Position Overview
