Job summary

Charter Construction is seeking an experienced Rebuild Project Manager to join our Restoration Team in Portland, Oregon. You will manage rebuild projects from planning through closeout, coordinating with homeowners, adjusters, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and the ability to juggle multiple projects while upholding Charter’s standards and customer care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of construction project management experience.
• 1 to 2 years of hands-on Xactimate estimating experience.
• Experience in insurance restoration, remodeling, or residential construction preferred.
• Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• Basic computer proficiency; Excel and Outlook experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of construction projects from planning and scheduling through completion and closeout.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, establish timelines, and determine resource requirements.
• Prepare, monitor, and manage project budgets to ensure profitability and cost control.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Coordinate and oversee subcontractor performance to meet project specs and budget.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, evaluate workmanship, and ensure quality standards.
• Enforce all safety protocols and maintain compliance with local building codes, ordinances, and regulations.
• Attend weekly project meetings, providing updates on project status, schedules, budgets, and potential challenges.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, contracts, change orders, and job records.
• Manage and oversee up to 20 active projects simultaneously.
• Communicate effectively with clients, team members, subcontractors, and company leadership.
• Work independently and proactively resolve project-related issues as they arise.
