Job summary

White Cap is seeking a hands-on Rebar Fabrication Operator to produce customized reinforcing steel per work orders and tags. You will operate shears, benders, and automated machines while maintaining quality and safety standards in an industrial setting.

This role involves lifting up to 50 pounds, outdoor work under varying weather, and following exact specifications with supervision, ensuring timely completion and safe shipment of finished products.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• 0–2 years of experience in area of responsibility.
• Prior experience in rebar fabrication, steel manufacturing, or a high-volume industrial production environment.
• Ability to accurately interpret rebar tags, shop drawings, or production work orders with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Fabricates reinforcing steel (rebar) products per work orders and rebar tag specifications, including bar size, bends, quantities, and dimensions.
• Sets up and safely operates rebar fabrication equipment, such as shears, benders, and automated bending machines.
• Inspects finished materials visually and through standard measurements to ensure accuracy and conformance to specifications.
• Prepares completed products for shipment using protective materials to prevent damage during transport.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work area, adhering to safety policies and reporting hazards.
